ABHT provided structural engineering services for this redevelopment project for the Housing Authority of Portland consisting of one 4-story mixed-use building, along with seven 2 to 3-story residential apartment buildings designed to promote community interaction. The mixed-use structure is 30,000 sf and the residential apartment structures consist of four different building types with a total of 73,000 sf. Completed in 2009 and funded in part by a federal Hope VI grant, this revitalization project is currently pursuing LEED Silver certification for the mixed use building and recently won the City of Portland's BEST Award for Green Building.
